Conferencing at Zimbali Resort

Fairmont Zimbali Resort specializes in personalized conference arrangements for small to large groups of up to 180 guests.

A wide range of audiovisual aids and state-of-the-art equipment is available to delegates in the Sanderling meeting room or in the Marula Ballroom.

Marula Ballroom

The majestic 280 square meter Marula Ballroom is the perfect venue for conferences and banqueting. The ballroom can seat up to 220 guests for a full sit down banquet. It can accommodate up to 80 delegates in u-shape, 200 in schoolroom configuration or 300 in cinema-style seating. The Marula Ballroom can also be divided into 2 smaller venues of 140 square meters each. In this manner each room can accommodate up to 50 delegates in u-shape, 90 in schoolroom configuration or 150 in cinema-style seating. A full sit down banquet can accommodate up to 90 guests. The pre-conference area & courtyard are the perfect solution for entertaining, break aways or delegate registration.

Sanderling Boardroom

The intimate Sanderling Boardroom seats 12 delegates in a boardroom style setup. With large dark wood tables and executive club chairs, it is the ideal venue for an up market conference or meeting.

Fairmont Zimbali Resort has a catering team dedicated to meeting all your requests. Whether you are looking for a casual or more formal dining option we will be sure to exceed all your expectations. With 9 food & beverage outlets from which to pick, as well as the Marula Courtyard and pre-conference area, you will be spoilt for a choice of venue. Customized menu’s are also available.

A wide range of audio-visual aids and state-of-the-art equipment is available to conference delegates in both venues.

Zimbali Lodge specializes in personalized conference arrangements for small to large groups. The South Africa Conference Centre is beautifully appointed and ideally situated for superb views of the Zimbali Estate and Country Club Golf Course. The Conference centre leads directly from the Ngwenya Terrace.

Conferencing at Zimbali Lodge

Imbiso Room

The imposing Imbiso Room, overlooking the golf course and the Nature reserve, is the focal point of the conference facilities. It can accommodate a maximum of 80 delegates in cinema-style seating, 40 delegates in u-shape, 35 in boardroom style or 60 in a schoolroom configuration.

Tugela Room

The Tugela Room, is an executive boardroom with an ocean view. The oval mahogany boardroom table dominates the room and this is the perfect venue for the smaller conference and can accommodate 10 people.

Umgeni Room

The Umgeni Room is also a small, intimate venue off the conference foyer and can accommodate a maximum of 25 delegates in cinema style seating, 15 delegates in u-shape, 12 boardroom style or 15 in school-room configuration.

Conference Catering

The Lodge has capitalized on the excellent Natal climate to offer outdoor catering to conference groups on the Ngwenya Terrace, which is easily accessible from all the conference rooms. Guests may also opt for a formal dining experience in the Restaurant  or hold a private gala event at the Country Club. Zimbali Country Club caters for 76 inside the restaurant for dinner and if the venue is extended out onto the verandah 96. 120 Guests can be accommodated for cocktails.
